When we pause at this time of year, we naturally express appreciation for all that the universe and the people around us have done to enrich our lives.
What if we were to expand that practice and quieted our inner critics for a time? We could take a moment to acknowledge and appreciate ourselves for all that we do for others. Caring for our loved ones. Being a (mainly) good parent. Going above and beyond at work. Mentoring others. Extending kindness to strangers.
The tradition of giving thanks is a beautiful one, indeed. Let’s include ourselves in the gratitude this year. After all, it never hurts to send a few more positive vibes out there.
